With the programme Lijnrecht Introdans gives space to form, form to space.
Lucinda Childs caused quite a stir to Introdans with her Concerto, and the company is happy to add her Chairman Dances to the repertoire.
The young Italian Mauro di Candia is undergoing lightning-fast development as a choreographer. His dance-oriented approach prompted Introdans to ask him to make a new work.
The ‘Mondriaan of dance’ (Hans van Manen) is almost obligatory for this programme: his Three Pieces (1968) is justly referred to as an item of cultural heritage. With this imposing ballet for the entire ensemble of dancers, Lijnrecht is a sensational dance programme.
