“Making art means taking risks”

“ Beauty is not a bad word, but ballet is more than just a sequence of beautiful movements under beautiful lighting in a beautiful decor. Ballet, for me, has to do with creativity, with taking risks. I therefore confront the dancers and the public with the largest possible variety of ballet traditions. Only by creating new input can we enrich the dance language of both the performers and the public.” - Kathryn Bennetts, artistic director.

Impressing the Czar makes a welcome return in the 2006-07 season, alongside the romantic classic, Sleeping Beauty. We are excited to present a brand new full-length ballet by the German choreographer Christian Spuck , The Return of Ulysses, and 2 mixed Bills: Balanchine, Forsythe, Shimazaki and Fonte, Dawson, Godani.  In November, Introdans will be performing Make Love, Not War in our theatre.
